Dell Pro Precision GB10: Sviluppa l'AI con Potenza e Precisione – fcm1253_reg_01

Excellent dev box. I was able to setup quickly with an agentic coding project. Highly recommend this. Great bang for buck ratio.

Simple to set up and configure. Small footprint, easy to find space even on a cluttered desk. Powerful and capable. Note: Use the NVIDIA instructions for clustering. Dell misses a couple of steps.

We set ours up as a shared platform for power users; ready to run within an hour, handles every workload, quiet and solid. Datacenter-class AI without the datacenter overhead. Highly recommended.

The best deal in AI. This little device is super powerful and can run full size LLMs. Comparative a Gaming PC, this device is a great value. Dell and Nvidia also provide a large library of playbooks and instructions on how to set up a personal chat app, AI agents and other AI tools. The device is easy to set up and start building AI tools. Running the LLM on device, makes your chats private and saves on token costs. There are so many open weights models that can be used and built on.

I am currently doing research and require compute to create models and evaluating them, as well as using this for inference of other models, in both cases its working like a dream once I got used to it. Its not the fastest as a single chat, but that's not where its strength is at, this puppy is for multi agent drifting across your data.

Running a container with FP8 or NVFP4 showed a 65% improvement in memory utilization in comparison to the A40 GPU. Overall performance of the GB10 was superior. The only drawback was you can only run one instance on the GB10 versus the A40.

We use the product for a series of model / automation operations, it is excellent for this

The power packed into this system greatly exceeds previous alternatives on market. To think you can now run LLM models locally on a desktop is mind boggling.

Simple to setup with the built-in nvidia dashboard. I'm using it to test 120b LLM models. Wish it was a bit cheaper so I could by another and link them!

The Dell Pro Max with GB10 is a product that I am very happy that Dell offers. Although the hardware design and capabilities of the unit are mostly determined by NVIDIA, I'm very happy with the added value and ease of getting support that Dell adds. If anything were to go wrong, I can expect the same level of support from Dell that we always get with our other machines. Support aside, I think this is a great product. The pre-installed DGX OS combined with the easy to follow playbooks that NVIDIA has produced allowed me to get up and running with some pretty advanced software stacks within 30 minutes of powering up the unit. Including rollback instructions in those playbooks let me feel more confident about trying new things. This is an ideal product for putting in front of our students or in a research lab to let them gain exposure to and experience the kind of environment that would otherwise only be accessible with several hundred thousand dollars worth of hardware. I wish the cost were lower in order to give the opportunity to even more students, but it is still a better option than available previously. I also appreciate that there are simple instructions available for re-installing the factory OS and software, as this encourages additional experimentation from students in a learning environment. Regarding the hardware itself, I have had a very smooth experience with no hardware issues yet over a wide range of tasks. Regardless of absolute performance, the system itself is very solid and reliable, and seems to be well constructed with high quality materials. The cooling system is relatively quiet and effective, which is important given that the form-factor allows and encourages setting it on my desk right next to my monitor. I am a big fan of the form-factor as it also allows easy transport and sharing between a team of people.
